Braelyn ~ 11 months

Okay sweet girl, only one more month until you are ONE YEAR OLD! I don't know where the time is going and it seems as though we are busier than ever, so I feel like I am not even able to soak it all in :(

You are one busy little bee - always on the move. You have decided to finally crawl, so you are on the go! Into everything and everywhere trying to get everything into your mouth - especially rocks and sidewalk chalk - you little stinker! You even started to try pulling up on things too and love to get up on your hands and feet like you are trying to stand. While you wear me out, carrying your heavy butt, I am not ready for you to start the whole walking process yet!

Celebrating Memorial Day

You are still so fun and happy all the time. But don't get me wrong, you do know how to throw a few little tempter tantrums every now and then...while I am putting you in the carseat, when you don't want to go to bed, getting out of the bathtub, when your not able to do the big stuff your brother is doing. But you loooove to sing, dance, clap, smile, laugh. I swear, you bring so much joy to my heart!

Still just 4 teeth - but I think your getting two more on bottom. You are still taking breastmilk, but have moved to only table foods - and you won't eat any more of the baby food that I made you. Guess it doesn't taste as good!! If I had to guess, I'd say you are probably like 24lbs, and still super tall. We go to the Dr in a month for your one year, so we'll find out then. Just as much of a mama's girl as ever, and you tend to have your moments when you will cry if someone else tries to hold you - especially when you are tired!

Typical meal time mess

You love being outside, in the water, going for stroller rides, swinging, in the bounce house...just like your brother. So, we spend the majority of our days outside! You really say a lot of words for your age - your latest are 'Ninny' and you even mimicked me saying 'Skylar' the other night, it was so funny! I'd say your probably can say at least 15-20 words now.

Our big pool isn't ready, so we're just cooling off in this little thing!

You are such a sweetheart and I just thank God everyday that you are my little princess!!!!!!!!

Braelyn ~ 10 months

I don't know where this last month has gone, I feel like I just did your 9 month blog last week! So this is going to be a 'cliff note' version. And as far as the pics go - not so much of a success! You weren't having it and then you ripped your sticker off and tore it up, so we didn't even get to have a re-do.

Happy 10 months! Not a whole ton has changed since last month...

 

You are getting a little bit of sas' going on lately. Started throwing some tantrums when things don't go your way. Naps are shortening for some reason, and you fight going down for them. We have been spending alot of time outside since it has been so nice and you are LOVING it. You absolutely love stroller rides. You kick your legs and talk and squeel the whole time, take your shoes and socks off and have your feet up on the handle bars. It just makes me smile :)

 

 

You have your two bottom teeth all the way in and the two top have popped through also and your starting to get another on the bottom row too. You will eat anything you get your hands on and have been tasting a little bit of everything that we are eating. Your latest favorites are pasta salad and rice.

You are saying more actual 'words' - now you can say Ma-Ma, Da-Da, Hi, Bye-Bye, Bird, Ball, Uh-Oh and Ba-Ba. You still love to dance and sing. And you still love your brother but you are really tormenting him lately. Especially on stroller rides. You always have your hands on him and are grabbing and batting at him - sometimes you even try to bite him! You two crack me up. I see alot of bickering between you guys when you get older.

Your making your way around by scooting backwards, but still no crawling. When I put you in your walker though, you are ALL over the place. I can't go into another room without you following me, EVERY-WHERE-I-GO.

Braelyn ~ 9 months

Are we really only 3 months away from your 1st birthday!! Better get to party planning...because every princess deserves a fabulous birthday party :)

Your still my little angel - however, have started to develop a little attitude at times. I swear its from watching your brother! Lately, you have been throwing a little fit when its time to get out of the bath tub or sometimes while changing your diaper or if you aren't getting something you want ...or we aren't feeding you fast enough! You are wanting to be in mommy's arms...ALL THE TIME! Which I do love, but is hard to get anything done around here holding you. Especially since you weigh a whopping 22.2lbs (94%) and are 29.75in (99%) long! Such a big girl. We are still in size 4 diapers but are now wearing 18 month clothing. You have your daddy's thighs and those little rolls just crack me up :)

Still no crawling yet. You are getting on your knees and rocking a lot, but haven't found out how to go forward. However, you will be across the room from scooting backwards ;) That's okay, take your time little one...I'm okay with it because I know once you are on the move, you are going to be into EVERYTHING! You get so excited when you see Nolan and daddy wrestle and I can see how badly you want to play too. Watch out Nolan...sissy is going to give you a run for your money when she is big enough. She still loves you to pieces though!

You have started to do this loud dinosaur growl too, it cracks me up. You will just starting growling out of nowhere. Too Funny :) Still love to dance and sing and smile and laugh. 'Patty Cake' and 'If You're Happy and You Know It' are some of your favorites to do. And you are SUCH a ham when I have the camera out. All I have to do is say "Cheeseburger" and you are cheezing it up ear to ear.  You have such a big personality!

Still nursing - about 4 times a day, and eating baby food that mommy makes for you. And you are becoming quite the pro at table foods too. I haven't seen a food you don't like, little miss piggy :) You have 2 teeth on bottom and have been acting like maybe some more will be popping up soon.

Braelyn ~ 8 months

Happy 8 months sweet baby girl! Just like I say every single month, you are getting more and more fun and sweet as the days go by and I just adore you to pieces!

ahh....this sweet little grin!

You are still my BIG girl...weighing about 20 something pounds. We go to the Dr later this month, so we will know for sure then. You are in size 12-18 months clothing...size 4 diapers.

Mommy finally got you a new carseat and we are just waiting to it to arrive in the mail any day...Thank God because my back can't handle much more of carrying you around!

You love sitting up in your stroller or in the grocery cart when we are out shopping because you are so nosey and love to see everything.

You are just so fun and happy all the time. Always smiling, babbling, dancing and singing...just loving life! Still drinking mama's milk and eating anything you can get in your mouth. I have started giving you some table foods lately just to taste and your recent favorites are donuts and thin mint girl scout cookies ;) And FINNNNALLLLY...a tooth is finally breaking through!

Still no crawling, but you are a little more active when you are on your belly. You can do a complete circle by scooting and can get way up on your arms but haven't quite figured the getting on your knees part. With the way you are standing so well, I wouldn't doubt if you walked before crawled!

We are sooo tired of being locked in with all of this cold, yucky weather. So ready for the warm weather to come back so we can get out and go on walks and enjoy the pool! I plan to get you in swim lessons soon, which I think  you will love because you love bath time. Especially when Nolan takes a bath with you, you squeal and splash water all over it.

He is still your little buddy and you want to do and play with everything he has. I love how much you two adore each other...I hope it continues that way in the years to come :)

You love to play patty cake and peek a boo. You can dance and snap your fingers on cue. You say dada, mama, baba, and Heeeyyyy. You love everyone who you see often, however, get a little nervous if someone you don't know very well tries to hold you. You are definitely mama's girl. You could be sitting and playing just fine, but the moment you see me you start whining for me to pick you up (and of course, I do!).

Braelyn ~ 7 months

Happy 7th months sweetpea! You are so fun an animated, I just love this age. I am sure every month I will be saying that though ;)

In the past month you...

* started sitting on your own. However, we still have to be near you so you don't get too excited or reach too far and faceplant.

* roll from your belly to your back. No crawling yet, but you have just started getting way up on your arms and getting your legs moving. I think some army crawling will be happening soon.

* wave bye bye

* Got to spend some time with Lizzy before she headed back to Germany

* eat lots of different baby foods...and even chew on the little baby crackers' too! Gotta keep a close eye on you though b/c you always bite half of the thing off! You want everything that we are eating or drinking though and stalk us the entire time we are eating ;)

* Like to be held - a lot. You have gotten into a phase where you want mommy to carry you around, all day long! It's a killer on my back!

You are still nursing like a champ. Wearing 12 month clothes...even some 18 month pants and size 4 diapers. Still sleeping through the night from about 8pm til 7am, then usually you'll eat and go back to bed until 9ish. Then also take about a two hour nap each day. You love you're sleep! 

No teeth yet, I swear one has to be coming soon though! You love playing with your brother...and chewing on your piggies. And anything else you can get in your mouth!

My two favorites times of the day are:

* when you wake up in the morning. You are full of coo's and smiles and are so excited and happy when I peak over the crib at you and say "Good morning my little sunshine." You start wiggling in your crib like a fish out of water...we call it your fish dance ;)

* tucking you in at night. Once you and Nolan are asleep for the night, daddy and I come in before we go to bed to check on you and make sure you are covered up and comfy. I just love how sweet and innocent you guys are and I love ending my day knowing just how blessed we are.

Nolan Patrick ~ 2.5 years

My little man is such a big boy these days! Wow, are we really half way to 3! You are as rotten as they come one minute, then the sweetest little lover the next. I think my favorite time of the day with you is before bedtime...you love to 'schuggle mommy-O' and I love to 'schuggle' you right back :)

Even though you are only 2 1/2, you still look like you are about 4 years old. You are so tall and grown up looking ! You're wearing 3T shirts and have just moved up to 4T clothing. This was a very sad moment for me because 4T is in the big boy clothing department! How is that possible?! Your shoe size in a 9, big foot! And we are still not potty trained :( Actually, you have ZERO interest lately, so i'm not holding my breath for it to happen soon...unfortunately. Mama would LOVE to stop buying diapers for two kids...and would really love to stop changing your stinky butt!

Eating for you is hit or miss. Some days you eat great, others you eat nothing. Your favorite thing to eat is fruit snacks and favorite drink is milk. You are obsessed with watching Bubble Guppies and Fireman Sam. You're favorite things to do are to play with your cho cho table, tractors, and firetrucks or to jump in your bounce house.

I can't believe how much you have changed over the past few months. You have lost a lot of your shyness and are really playing well with other little ones your age...especially your buddy Cale! You two have a so much fun together! I see many years of these little ornery boys running around causing trouble.

You really developed quite the attitude also. If you are misbehaving, I tell you that you better stop or you will go to timeout and your response is "NO MOMMY, I'll put YOU in timeout!!" I try SO hard not to laugh at you when I am trying to discipline...which I admit, am not very good at.

You love to help out...whether it be cooking dinner or changing braelyns diaper or laundry, you think you are big stuff when you help. You are still smitten with your sister! I love when you do sweet little baby talk to her and try to make her smile, it's so sweet!

Those big brown eyes melt my heart and I'm excited to watch you grow into a little man...I love you to the moon and back!
