Mother of the Year

I think i'll be getting Mother of the Year award this weekend...

Yesterday, we were letting Nolan run around the house naked before his bath, because he's crazy and LOVES it and I was cleaning up the kitchen from dinner and heard a huge loud bang...ran to the bathroom to see that he had peed on the tile floor and slipped and fell and busted his head really hard :/

Today, I was changing his diaper on the changing table and reached over to grab a diaper and he was flopping around trying to get down and ended up flying off of the changing table onto the floor :/

And for dinner, I let him have cake, ice cream and apples and oranges. Fruit and dairy...that's good, right?? :) He deserved it after his traumatizing weekend of falls....and he's just oh so cute :)

I at least made him brush his teeth after ;)

1.5 years....

My little baby is a year and a half already! HOW in the world did this happen?!?! I remember when he was a newborn and cranky and crying ALL THE TIME, wishing he would get older and more independant and easier to handle. Now I can barely remember when he was that teeny tiny! It's definetly crazy how quickly time flies...must be cause were having so much fun!! :)
Just relaxing with the doggies

So, 18 months...

Weight: 30lbs (96 %ile)...which I actually think is more, but my little hellion wasn't cooperating on the scale.

Height: 36"!! (99%ile)...holy moly! The nurse was telling me that when a child is 2 years old, you are supposed to double their height and that's how tall they are expected to be when they grow up...plus she said they usually grow an inch or two before they are 2, so right now were saying about 6'2, 6,'3! Hello basketball scholarships ;)

Head: 49.9 (97%ile) - I kinda thought he was growing into his big jug...obviously not ;)

His current obsession is basketball! First thing he says when he wakes up or gets home, etc is "Shoot the basketball" over and over and over again! We spend every evening shooting hoops from all over the living room. He still LOVES to read books and singing and dancing to his nursery rhyme shows!

Yep, were already on the 3rd notch and still dunking! ;)

"I got Skillllz!"

Still a great sleeper and eats pretty good for the most part. And still quite the chatterbox!!!! I know i'm his mother, but I think that he is a genius by his huge vocabulary!

Little Streaker!

Definetly a mama's boy!!! Which does tend to irritate me alot, because he is constantly wanting me to hold him and is whining for me...but I'm head over heels for this clinger so I guess I shouldn't complain, because he loves me just as much. I'm just super nervous as to how he is going to act when we have a new baby around...guess we will find out soon enough.

"Mommy, mama, mom, mommy, mommy, up, mom"

Lots of changes coming over the next few months...and I'm exited to see how he handles all of them and see him become an even bigger boy! Before we know he, he will be off to school :(

Happy Year and Half little man! :) xoxoxo

Lifelong friends...

We had such a fun time on Saturday!! A bunch of us girls from high school (and Morgan...who, we basically count as a high school friend!)...and our kids all got together at Courtney's to catch up on each others lives and let the kids have a little playdate.

It is so crazy how much has changed over the past 10+ years! From running around causing trouble, playing sports, stalking boys, getting in fights while playing Taboo in my closet, AOL instant messaging, etc. to chasing around our little rascals, playing mommy, changing diapers, and teaching them please and thank you. Life was good then...but is even better now!!!!

Here we all are in 2008...Was trying to find some high school pics but this is as close to it as I could find ;)

I have some of the greatest friend that I could ask for and am so glad that over the years, we have all remained so close and still hang out and our husbands get along so well. And I love how we are continuing the traditions through our children...It's something that i'd always wished for growing up and love seeing it all happen :)

Life is GOOD!

Last week...

Nolan got his first haircut! Now, I know that my son has little to NO hair, but it does grow long in the back. He was starting to get a major mullet...and this mama wasn't loving it! So my sister came over Tuesday, we had dinner and hung out all evening, stuck Nolan is his chair in front of the TV and she chopped away. He actually did a pretty good job...thank God it didn't take long though!

"I'll help aunt Keli!"

"OK, im over this!"
Those are Nolans plastic spiders/bugs on his tray that he is obsessed with! Creepy! I keep finding them all over the house!

Snuggling with Ninny on my pillow pets

Poppy came out to visit Wednesday night...brought KFC and we all had dinner and just hung out. Nolan and him were quite the ballers!

They color cordinated their outfits!

I had a much needed girls night out and went to Cancun to w/ some of my friends Thursday then went out to see Jill's GORGEOUS house that they are building. So excited for them and can't wait to see the end product! Of course, I wanted to get a pic of all of us and forgot :(

Cooking on the grill while I was making dinner...

The rest of the week/weekend, Nolan and I were lucky enough to get sick...AGAIN...now we both have yucky colds! One of these days were all going to be healthy...one of these days...

He was worn out after daycare on Monday. I found him twice just laying down watching TV. He NEVER does this!!!

On the baby front....I'm 16 weeks...have a belly bump (which popped out at 14 weeks), AND felt this little bambino move already!! With Nolan, I didn't start showing until like 18 weeks, and didn't feel him move until around 22 weeks. Things are happening much quicker this time :) We find out boy or girl on Feb 12th....patiently waiting.... :) :)

Hello Bump!

Nolan's a busy little man!

We have been running around like crazies lately, staying busy as usual....but I have still been bad about taking pictures! We are going to get a new camera this week, so that should make it much easier for me to get back on my psycho picture taking!

On the 'homefront' situation, we have all of our contracts signed for our new house and this one....just waiting on appraisals and inspections and our closing date is set for Feb 28th!! So hoping everything continues to go smoothly with no bumps in the road!! :)  So excited for all the new changes, additions, we have coming up in the next few months.

I am very sad to say this, but I think we may be getting rid of our dogs soon if we find good homes for them to go to. They just deserve way more attention and love then we give them. Life is so busy, and is going to be getting busier when baby #2 gets here and I feel like I am just constantly yelling at them to go lay down and get out of my way, etc! I feel awful because I do love them sooo much, but I feel like it is only fair to them. They are WONDERFUL dogs and deserve much more attention than we can give them :( :( So if anyone knows of someone looking for a new dog, let me know :/

Nolan was a busy man this weekend. Saturday we had a playdate with a couple of the residents from work and their daughters...which was fun for Nolan because he is so used to playing with boys all the time. And those little ladies were absolutely adorable too...guess it wouldn't be so bad to have a girl ;)

Saturday night we had dinner and hung out over at the Bressans. It was sooooooo nice b/c Nolan has been EXTREMELY clingy to me lately, and as soon as we got there, he wanted down and ran around and played the whole time. I actually got to just sit there and visit with my friends and relax. It was FABULOUS! ;)

Owen, Taylor, and Nolan

Monday we went over to my grandmas (nolans Grandma Great) house to visit. I love watching how much she adores him and those sweet little moments like him sitting on her lap while she reads him a book! I do have any memories of my great grandparents, so I think its important that we get to spend as much time with her as we can! We have been working with Nolan on saying Grandma and Grandpa (he usually just says "go-po and go-mo" and we got to my grandmas and I said "were at grandma greats house!" and Nolan sayings clear as day "Gwama gweat?" It was so cute!! :)

Nolan and Grandma Great! Grandma gave Nolan a whole plate of cookies to choose from. He was so funny...he would take one, take a bite and taste it and then set it down and taste the next one. Hilarious!

2 week wrap up

I have been a total slacker with blogging lately, so here we go...the last 2 weeks in a small little nutshell.

Had 6 fabulous Christmas gatherings in three days! Got to visit and spend time with our wonderful families, eat tons of food and Nolan had a blast! He got WAY too many toys! Which led us to start stressing about not having any room in our little house...then we saw a house for Sale in Williamvsille, that we looked at and LOVED. Accepted an offer contingent that we sell our house.

Had our annual cooking making day with my neice...

Nolan had to come home from daycare of Friday with the flu, poor baby was so sick. Vomiting and diarrhea :( It was so hard to see him so sick :(  Time like this is when it's the hardest to be a mama!

Saturday night Skylar and I both woke up in the middle of the night sick with the flu too (which is NO FUN with only one bathroom!) and spent all day Sunday sick and miserable, while Nolan got shipped off to the Tierneys.

Monday, Grandma Ninny, Grandma Cindy, Aunt Keli, Aunt Stephanie and Sydnie all came down with the flu too :( Nolan has spread an epidemic with the entire family almost...nasty, nasty flu bug!! :( :( We spent New Years Eve getting Smokey Bones to go, and were in bed, asleep by 9:30! we are so exciting!

We cleaned our house really good once we started feeling better, organized...had our first showing tonight and ACCEPTED THE OFFER!!!!!!! (let me know if anyone wants to be an awesome lot in Williamsville too!)

SO, as long as everything goes accordingly, we will be new home owners soon!!! :) :) :)  Here's to a great 2012 and an even better 2013! Lots and lots of exciting things to come!!!!

(sorry, no pics....i'll try to start being better!)
