We have a walker!...

Well, he finally did it! Nolan FINALLY decided to walk...4 days short of 15 months! And, I will be honest, I was started to get a little worried. I know they say you shouldn't ever compare your children to others because they all develop differently, bla bla bla, but who are we kidding?? We all do it! It's too hard not to! So, I was seeing all of the kids around Nolans age walking around and was starting to wonder if something was wrong...especially since they had been walking for a few months. Everything I was reading was saying not to worry until 18 months and that it was okay because he was born 3 weeks early, and I walked late too, etc., so I tried to stay positive, but was getting very impatient. The kid has AWESOME fine motor skills and is talking and seems to be developing on track in that sense...so I just kept listening to everyone say, "dont worry, he will do it when he is ready."

And the little turd decided to do it when I wasn't there to see it for the first time! He had taken a couple steps for my mom, walked at daycare, then walked at Gma and Gpa Tierneys house, all before he wanted to show mama his skills. But, I got home after a loong day of work, and thankfully he was still awake and in a good mood and walked for me :) (Of course, it was for a pringle...his favorite snack!)

He's still a bit wobbly and not walking all the time, but I'm still proud of my big boy :)

Saturday night, we went to the Bressan Halloween party! It was alot of fun...and great to see everyone. The kids all had alot of fun playing and were all dressed up so cute! Makes me so happy that all of these kids will be growing up together and will be buddies for years and years to come! :)

  1. Yay, a new blog buddy! Kinley is finally starting to show an interest in walking but she could care less for the longest time! She also talks up a storm and has great fine motor skills. I think our kiddos are just detail oriented. :)
